Position Summary
To analyze IP and OP claims with problems that are holding the claims from billing. This individual will investigate these problems, recognize the issue, make necessary corrections and release the bill for payment. This is a key postition in maintaining the DNFB, to ensure clean claims and prevent reimbursement delays.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
CPC is required. Thorough knowledge of ICD-9, CPT-4, HCPCS and reimbursement/billing process.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Excellent communication, teaching, organizational and follow up skills, as well as familiarity with Internet sites for coding and reimbursement information.
KIND and LENGTH of EXPERIENCE
2-4 years IP and OP coding experience
