CPT code 76140 Consultation on X-ray examination made elsewhere,writen report

Does anyone have any written documentation to support or deny whether CPT code 76140 could be billed for a physician who is interpreting Xrays brought in by the patient from another facility. I'm understanding the only way that you could bill for the 76140 is if the physician would record the findings and mail back to the physician where the x-rays were originally taken.

Any thoughts?
