Job Details: This position will provide coding and reimbursement direction to multiple IU Health Physician clinical service lines and will design, coordinate, implement and monitor process improvement initiatives for the enhancement of revenue cycle performance and the reduction of compliance risk. Responsible to analyze data, workflows, and processes, to identify areas of risk for lost revenue and/or compliance with regulatory guidelines. Educates service lines in coding and reimbursement rules and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Requires High School diploma or the equivalent.
Certified Professional Coding (CPC) designation required.
Five years of coding/Reimbursement experience required with a physician practice plan and/or payer.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.
Requires Certified Professional Coder certification.
Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, department directors, and front office staff to promote organizational goals and objectives.
