There does not seem to be any new information on changing the CPC-H to COC. Is this still happening? I hope it is not. I think COC weakens your status. Certified outpatient coder? Very vague and nonprofessional sounding. I think CPC-H is familiar to all employers and really defines you as certified professional for a hospital (facility side). It's like starting over and having to explain what it is. I am rather attached to my credential of CPC-H. It has clout. How does CPC-H confuse anyone about CIC? COC and CIC is more apt to. I just don't get it.
