Pt 12.3.1.260

Windows 8.1
Intel 6-Core CPU
16GB Ram
2 Hard Drives
FocusRite Saffire Pro 40 with Mix Control 3.6
iLok 2
PC Audio Labs computer

Last installation, my system was optimized by Avid Tech Support.

Application Manager prompted me to update to PT 12.3.1 T. The Application Manager was unable to do the update. So I downloaded it from my Account area and installed it myself.

I uninstalled previous version. Installed 12.3.1 with no signs of issues.

New version keep crashing with the "Pro Tools Not Responding" message.
I have trashed the preferences. No luck.

The issue seems to be Pro Tools connecting with the Saffire Pro I/O. Windows recognizes the SP 40. My other DAWS do too. While Setup in PT sees the SP 40 as both Input and Output. I deleted the I/O and reset to default.

PT starts up fine and loads a session okay. Put anything to do with the I/O I get Not Responding error. For example, simply trying to press play on the Transport, it crashes. Message: "Pro Tools could not initialize the Saffire. Please make sure device has been configured properly." From everything I see and did, it should be working just like in my other DAWs. I even reinstalled the Mix Control software.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Same issue over and over.

Previous install was near flawless.
