I imported a long stereo wave from a client. He told me the bpms were embedded in it. I said I never heard of that in pro tools and he told me to open it in Logic. sure enough, I opened the stereo wave in Logic and 45 minutes worth of click track mapping appeared in the tempo bar. I then had to export the midi map to PT.
So can Pro Tools ever import that kind of stuff? And is Pro Tools exporting bpm or other wAve or session data when we are exporting or bouncing wave files? I was thankful the bpms were embedded. I'd love to be able to do that in pro tools.

Does PT export or import bpm info with waves?
