Saving Workspace Presets

Trying to save the work space presets 1-5, not saving too well. Reading posts online it seems they have issues and don't function too well?
But I can create catalogs and save them.

Is it that you can't save a preset that has a volume? Meaning you have to create a new folder and load it with your samples and then can you save it as a preset?
