Self Pay Synvisc Injections

I was wondering if anyone could help with this scenario:

Our office is considering getting rid of doing any Synvisc injections because of the constant denials- yes we have been following all the billing guidelines-plus with the recent notification that BCBS FL now considers hyaluronic injections not medically necessary eff 4.1.15. It seems to not be cost effective especially since we buy the Synvisc.

If a patient requests to get Synvisc injections (say they have Medicare or BCBS or another insurance that we are contracted with)- would our office be able to bill patient a straight fee as self pay without going through insurance?
