Digi Sync i/o vs Digi Sync HD - PT12HD compatibility

Hi,

I see from this document that the blue sync i/o is not supported but the blue sync HD is kinda supported (when they say haven't tested, I'm presuming like the 192s that they work but they'd rather sell you the purple-faced stuff, feel free to correct me on this)

How do I tell if I have the Sync i/o or Sync HD? I know it used be on the face plate but then I've seen others that don't have it
