Anyone tried those "convertCON" unisex XLR connectors?

Anyone used these yet? Seems like having a few pigtails with these on one or both ends would be useful. Pricy, though - about $15 each.

Specs say "greater than 1000 mating cycles." One thousand cycles seems like a low threshold to compare to... But they have the same number listed for their "normal" XLR connectors, which are as sturdy as they come aside from flimsy boots on the X series.
